E.S.M. is situated approximately 50 miles south of London, 12 miles south east of the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.The location map shows the A21, which runs from London to Hastings and which joins the M25 at Junction 5.

[UK map] Local    Directions : 
From Heathfield/A265.  Take the A265 to Burwash. Go through Burwash village, past the church on your right as you leave the village & take the next left ( 150yrds after church ) Shrub Lane, signposted to Ticehurst & Stonegate. After 1 mile come to level crossing, Old Factory Buildings is situated exactly one mile after the crossing on the left. (Through green iron gates)

From Ticehurst.  Take turning signed to Burwash in the centre of the village (on right if from Wadhurst ). After approximately 1 ½  miles turn left (signed for Burwash) into Battenhurst Rd on tight R/H bend. Old Factory Buildings is approximately ½ mile down Battenhurst Rd on the right  (Through green iron gates). 
From Wadhurst.  Take B2099 out of Wadhurst for Ticehurst, After approx 1 mile take R/H turn signed to Stonegate  & Burwash Common. Follow this road until you enter  Stonegate ( sign on left verge!) At sharp right hand bend turn off  left, signed to Burwash (directionally this is straight on). After ½ mile take right turn signed to Burwash, this is Battenhurst Rd. Old Factory Buildings is ½ mile on the right,(Through green iron gates).
